Through this course on Nagarjuna’s Letter to a Friend, you’ll explore a classic Buddhist text that distils the entire Mahayana path into clear, poetic guidance. You’ll study practical teachings on ethical living, mindfulness, virtue, and the stages of spiritual awakening. The course makes profound Dharma principles accessible to both lay practitioners and serious students alike. Whether you want to deepen your understanding of Buddhist practice or apply its insights to everyday life, this course gives you the tools and clarity to support that journey.

Through this course on Nagarjuna’s Bodhicittavivarana, you’ll explore the true meaning of bodhicitta—the union of compassion and wisdom. You’ll unpack key Mahayana insights like emptiness and the two truths in a clear, practical way. Whether you want to deepen your meditation or live with greater purpose and compassion, this course offers the understanding and tools to support your journey.

Over the course of seven months, we will undertake a close and contemplative study of one of the most profound yet practically oriented texts of the Madhyamaka tradition: Four Hundred Verses on the Middle Way (Catuḥśataka) by the great master Āryadeva.

In this course, we will explore the profound and practical teachings on Calm Abiding (śamatha) and Special Insight (vipaśyanā) as presented in the Lam Rim tradition, drawing primarily on the instructions of Je Tsongkhapa, one of Tibet’s greatest scholar-yogis.

In this series, Ven. Geshe Tenzin Namdak offers a clear and accessible introduction to Entering the Middle Way (Madhyamakāvatāra), Chandrakirti’s celebrated commentary on Nāgārjuna’s Middle Way philosophy. Guiding students through the text’s central themes - compassion, insight, and the profound reasoning that reveals the emptiness of inherent existence - Geshe-la provides a grounding both in its practical application and its philosophical depth. These teachings were offered at Jamyang Buddhist Centre, London, as part of our ongoing commitment to making authentic Buddhist study available to all. Whether you’re encountering the text for the first time or returning to it as part of your practice, we hope this series supports your exploration of the Middle Way.

Restricted Access: The following materials have been compiled for the sole use of students of Geshe Tenzin Namdak who have received a Yamantaka Initiation, either solitary hero or thirteen deity.
